This trip is not just for those interested in geology: anyone who loves nature,
breathtaking landscapes and is a trekking enthusiast should join us on this tour.

This excursion is suitable for those who really want to walk. This excursion is suitable for those who really want to walk. The tour initially includes transport at altitude with our 4×4 vehicles up to 2930 m.

From this point you will begin the 2km walk uphill on a path surrounded by volcanic waste and bombs. The total altitude difference uphill is 370 meters until reaching the edge of the Central Crater of Etna, at an
altitude of 3300 metres.

There we will stop to admire the grandeur, uniqueness and processes of the volcanic environment,combined with the spectacle of the panorama enjoyed from the roof of Sicily (visibility may change based on weather conditions).

The excursion ends by returning with our 4×4 vehicles to Piano Provenzana, the arrival point of our excursion.

The trek does not require much preparation at the physical level, turns out to be easy and absent of particularly difficult steps; however, care is required since it is volcanic soil, often inconsistent and unstable. - Trekking is not recommended for those who usually do little motor activity. - The excursion may vary at the discretion of the guides or be discontinued if environmental, atmospheric or volcanic conditions change such that the safety of the entire group is compromised. - The total duration of the trek may vary depending on the general pace of the group. - The excursion will be carried out within the limits set by current ordinances. - Also suitable for children over the age of 6. - The route involves climbing and passing along crater hemlocks, this may cause dizziness problems for sensitive individuals. - This itinerary, in relation to the type, is suitable for people in good physical health, who do not suffer from any particular diseases (cardiovascular, respiratory or hypertension). - We do not recommend the use of contact lenses because of the gases exhaled from the volcano and the ash, which, if propelled, could easily cause problems. - Pregnant women who have passed the third month of pregnancy are not allowed any kind of hiking activities. - In order for the hike to be successful and for the activity to run smoothly, it is a good idea to be fully aware of one's health condition and to present it to the guide if necessary, in such a way as to minimize the occurrence of any problems and avoid taking risks.
